An exceptional open-pollinated red beet that was bred for its delicious tops, uniform and smooth roots, and disease resistance (Rhizoctonia and rust). In 2015 this variety germinated under exceptional heat and drought conditions.
Shiraz is a farmer-breeder variety in collaboration with the Organic Seed Alliance and Dr. John Navazio. Original Seed Source: Siskiyou Seeds. Grown by Fresh Roots Farm in Polson, MT. Certified Organic. Beta vulgaris.
