Howden Organic Pumpkin Seed
Charley Overbay –
I grow Howden Pumpkins on my farm. A farmer in my area did multiple years of variety trials and found that Howden was the most reliable pumpkin under his farming conditions.
Currently I dry farm Howden pumpkins in north central Montana. I am surprised at how fast the fruits grow and how long the vines grow even with no supplemental irrigation.
With no irrigation I can expect 1-2 pumpkins per plant weighing 10-22 lbs.
When planting dry land, I increase the plant spacing compared to irrigated instructions. My rows are 9 ft apart with plants 3 ft apart in row, so 27 square feet per plant.

Awesome, thanks for all the info Charley!
