Description

 Envy is one of the quickest soybeans to flower and make pods. It gives us a chance here in Montana, where the chilly nights often discourage soybean growing. Garden City Seeds offered this variety in the 1980s.
For edamame, pick the pods with the beans inside plump and green, full-sized but not mature and dry. Boil or steam the pods, add salt or butter, open pods and eat the delicious beans.
Direct sow when soil is warm and after last frost. 70-80 days fresh bean stage.
