Description

Large bulbs with purple striping on the dry outer sheath. Known for its good flavor and creamy texture when roasted. Cold hardy and reliable. Easy to peel cloves.

This is a hardneck variety, it will send up a stalk, or scape, early in the summer that most growers break off while still succulent to promote bulb growth. That leaves the inner stem woody, or hard. The scape itself can be used in cooking.

8-12 cloves per bulb. Grown by Wild Plum Farm in Dixon, MT. Certified Organic.
