Description

This is an early, short carrot that may do well for you if you have trouble growing longer carrots in your soil. The Johnny’s catalog calls it a ‘baby Chantenay.’  Chantenay type carrots are pointed at the base, with square broad shoulders, like a long cone. Caracas has that shape and but gets only about 4″ long.
Nice flavor, with strong enough tops to use for bunching. Original seed source: Johnny’s.
