Description
A beautiful white corn with the sweetness and looks to rival the hybrids. Attractive ears, 8-9″ with 14-16 rows. Creamy and sweet, tender enough to eat raw, and with depth of flavor. Really good corn!
Tall plants, 2 ears per plant. For our northern climate, this is a late season corn. Get it in the ground asap, or even consider sowing indoors and transplanting out in early June to assure your crop.
This is one of only a handful of new open-pollinated sweet corn varieties that have significantly improved on the OPs of the past. Tuxana was bred by Jonathan Spero of Lupine Knoll Farm in Oregon, one of his many gifts to the gardening and eating world. Mr. Spero is an OSSI member/breeder. The Open Source Seed Initiative seeks to free the seed! –to support plant breeding while preserving the rights of growers and breeders to freely use, save, replant, and improve seed of OSSI-pledged material.
