This European heirloom Romaine type lettuce is beautiful.  Flashy Troutback sports red spots and streaks on dark green leaves that are crisp and hearty. Adds a buttery taste and color to any salad and does well as a cut-and-come-again lettuce in the garden. Original seed sourced from Germany where it is called Forellenschluss, a name which compares it to the lively colors of wild trout. 54 days full size head, 28 baby.
