Description
A mini-hubbard type, hard-shelled, gray skin curing to a dusky orange. Dry smooth flesh is more savory than sweet, delicious and different from the very sweet squash that is more common now. Round and slightly pear-shaped, 4 to 6 lbs. The very hard rind is resistant to rodents. Difficult to cut open with a knife, we recommend dropping on concrete to crack open.
This variety was developed and offered originally by Fishers Seed Co in Belgrade, MT beginning in the 1920s. 95 days
