Description
These peppers start out yellow and ripen to red. Sometimes called a ‘frying pepper’ they are also sweet and delicious eaten raw. Thin skin and thick walls, and very productive.
An heirloom variety from Romania, brought here in 1991 by Jan Antohi, an acrobat defecting to the US. When fleeing your country, take your favorite pepper seeds to share with your new home.
Originally from Johnnies, we’ve been adapting them for their amazing production, even outdoors in our challenging climate.
Grown by Terrapin Farm in Whitefish, MT. Certified Organic.
Packet, about 30 seeds, $3.50
